He was predeceased by: his parents, Orch Edgerton and Lorraine Edgerton (McEvilly); his wife Pat; and his brother-in-law Jack Sell. He is survived by: his children, Denise Kachel (Mike), Jay Edgerton (Wendy), Debbie Groh (Randy), Darci Jurgella (Dan) and Dena Barton (Scot); his grandchildren, Jeff Sadlemyer (Dana), Jim Sadlemyer (Kacey Pennycook), Sara Frazer (Tom), Chris Kachel (Lauren), Tim Kachel, Molly Phelan (Kyle), Michael Jurgella (Jenna), Lauren Jensen (Zach), Brett Barton (Marnee), Eva Barton, Kalina Roland (Dan Van), Grant Roland (Kim) and Kayleigh Arraiza (JJ); his great grandchildren, Sawyer Sadlemyer, Atleigh Sadlemyer, Nolan Frazer, Addison Frazer, Greyson Frazer, Will Kachel, Ben Kachel, Olivia Phelan, Tate Kachel, Jackson Jurgella, McKenzie Jurgella, Skylar Jensen, Raelynn Roland, Haisleigh Arraiza, Kash Arraiza, Krue Arraiza and Baby Boy Phelan; and his siblings, Susan Sell (Jack), Tom Edgerton (Peggy), Jim Edgerton (Jean) and Joe Edgerton (Nancy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Pisarski Funeral Home (703 2nd St, Stevens Point, WI 54481). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen Catholic Church (1401 Clark St, Stevens Point, WI 54481).
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with the Stevens Point Barbershoppers, Pacelli Catholic Schools, St Stephen Church and St Croix Hospice.
