He was predeceased by: his parents, Rhode R. Sorenson and Mary Sorenson (Shomberg); his wife Grace Pasholk; his siblings, Eugene Sorenson, Fay Jakusz and Benita Flora; and his grandson Jason Sorenson.
He is survived by: his children, James (Elaine) of Stevens Point, Michael of Amherst, Kenneth of Idaho, Sandra of Stevens Point and Angela Dinkins (Jim) of Plover; and his sisters, Ione Hetzer, Rosemary, Annette and Cindy Rutkowski (Gary). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1709 Wyatt Ave, Stevens Point, WI 54481). A rosary will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
For those wishing to express their sympathies, the family kindly suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Rhode's honor.
