Towey of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on November 27, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Richard had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Richard may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. Towey and Beatrice J. Towey; and his brother Thomas James Towey. He is survived by: his sister Mary Joan Schunn of Edina, Minnesota; his children, Kristina Towey of Seattle, Washington and Joel Towey of Stevens Point, Wisconsin; his granddaughters, Shreya and Priya Murti; and his former wife Barbara Towey. He is also survived by niece and three nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Boston Funeral Home (1649 Briggs St, Stevens Point, WI 54481). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
