He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Oberst and Edith Oberst (Atkins). He is survived by: his wife Germaine Kranski; his sons, Robert Oberst of Milwaukee, WI and James Oberst (Pamela Shen) of Oakland, CA; and his sister-in-law Carol Oberst of Kenosha, WI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
