He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Barten and Mary Barten; his daughter Catherine Barten; and his siblings, Marge Hebard, Peter Barten, Ida Turner, Delorase Beaudine, Juanita Hebard, Ted Barten, Ray Barten, Charlene Barten, Charles Barten, Geraldine Jensen and Richard Barten.
He is survived by: his former wife Jennifer Zinda; his wife Patricia Bahde (Prusinski); his children, Nadine Barten, Alexandra Barten and Andrew Wescott-Barten (Liz); his stepchildren, Michael Bahde and Jennifer Lutz (Christopher); his stepgrandchildren, Stephani Bahde, Ethan Bilbrey, Zachary Bilbrey and Matthew Bilbrey; and his siblings, Edward Barten (Donna) and Catherine Williams (Rodney). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Boston Funeral Home (1649 Briggs St, Stevens Point, WI 54481).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to the High Ground Veterans Memorial Park in honor of Tom Barten.
