He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ian Elder and Audrey Peabody Elder (Boersting); his brother Mark Ian Elder; his grandson Raiden Elder; and his great-grandparent Abigail.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia Carlson; his children, Sarah Perman (Gary) of Northglenn, CO, Kate Vogel (Greg) of Stevens Point, WI., Anne Kruthoff (Phil) of Stevens Point, WI., Abigail Elder of Stevens Point, WI., Israel Elder (Nicole) of Leavenworth, KS, Brian Walker of Wathena, KS, Joshua Elder (Jessica) of Phoenix, AZ and Megan Karch (Richard "Boomer") of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; his brothers, John Gordon Elder of Orcutt, CA, Paul Elder of Eudora, KS and David Elder; his brothers-in-law, Dennis Carlson and Gordon Carlson of Parkville, MO; and his granddaughter Madelynn Vogel. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
