He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Yakes and June Yakes (Delap); his son Justin Yakes; his stepson Greg Thibadeau; his brothers, Norm Yakes and Tom Yakes; his father-in-law Clarence Schneider; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Zeeman, Tami Schneider and Bruce Zeeman.
He is survived by: his wife Amy Schneider; his children, Sara Kasper (Neil), Travis Yakes (Brittney Race), Jenny Yakes (Matt Zietlow), Gavin Thibadeau (Britt) and Melissa Duffy (Chris); his grandchildren, Gabi, Violet, Emilia, Griffin, Levi, Bobby (Kaitlyn) and Riley; his great grandchildren, Lily, Ember, Jasmine and Tyr; his brother Dick Yakes (Roxanne); his mother-in-law Barb Schneider; and his siblings-in-law, Dixie Yakes, Paul Schneider (Deidra), Brian Schneider (Deb), Julie Busch (Jeff) and John Schneider. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many close friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Blaney Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1521 Shawano Ave, Green Bay, WI 54303). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Doug's name.
