He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Long and Matilda "Mable" Long (Mellem); his former wife Shirley Hanson; his son Jay Long; and his sister-in-law Shirley Long.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Stalsberg (McDonald); his son Jeffrey Long (Karen); his stepchildren, Duane (Brenda), Edith and David Stalsberg (Rita); his grandchildren, Melissa, Holly, Jessica, Cory, Austin and Rachel; and his siblings, Robert Long and Linda Waldo (Mike). He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the De Soto Lutheran Church (805 Main St, De Soto, WI 54624). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
