He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Nelson and Elnora Nelson; his sister Irene Bailey; and his grandsons, Joshua Gavney and Nick Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Grethe Moller; his daughters, Karen Knipfer (Dave Vernig) and Kristin Peterson (Jeff); his grandchildren, Richard Knipfer (Paige Walker), Tucker Peterson and Shad Peterson; his great grandchildren, Chloe and Elliott Gavney; his nephew David Vance (Audrey); and his pets, Houston and Maddie.
