He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Olson and Mabel Olson (Anderson); his wife Geraldine Chapin; his son Mark Olson; and his sister Mary Ethel Swanson (Sigurd).
He is survived by: his son Brad Olson (Susan); his brother Donald Olson; his daughter-in-law Tonja Nelson (Brian); his grandchildren, Matthew Olson, Paige Karnes (Jason) and Daniel Olson (Kayla); his great grandchildren, Hudson, Brooks and Savannah Karnes; and his brother-in-law Robert Chapin.
