He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Schmidt and Olga Schmidt (Peter); his wife Sharon R. Dickman; his siblings, Frieda Hoefs, Edwin, William, Melvin and Albert Schmidt; and his granddaughters, Gabrielle, Katherine and Anastasia Bullock.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Bullock of Genoa City, WI, Dan Schmidt (Sarah Schneider) of Green Bay and John Schmidt (Kim) of Merrill; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Zane Bullock, Robin, Preston and Bryn Schmidt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
