He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Luther Johnson and Margaret Rita Johnson (O'Day). He is survived by: his children, Joseph of Freedom and Anna Johnson of Freedom; his sister Debra May (Tim) of Howard; his sibling's child Taylor Franczek (Sam); his great-nephew William; and his nephew Christopher May.
