He was predeceased by: his parents, Goldie Nellis and Rosemond Nellis; his wife Janet Mary Beirl; his daughter Terry Nellis; his siblings, Francis Nellis (Mildred), Patrick Nellis, Rita Columb (Irwin), Carolyn Conrad (Jack) and Geraldine Shebasta (Leo); and his brother-in-law Frank Stoller.
He is survived by: his children, Jane Pasterski (Dave) of Iowa, Kay Nellis Skoronski of Texas, James Nellis of Sturgeon Bay and Debra Nellis (Steve Buechler) of Seymour, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Jed Pasterski, Jill Brackett (James) and Scott Nellis; his great grandchildren, Austin, Chase, Joy, Jana, Juliet and Jesse; his sister Bertha Stoller of Algoma; and his sister-in-law Patty Nellis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Francis & St. Mary's Parish.
