She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Wessel and Edna Wessel; her son Wade Weckler; and her brothers, Donald Wessel and Robert Wessel.
She is survived by: her daughter Tammy Sternard (ReNee); her grandchildren, Tyler Wallace, Brady Tooley, Shaun Tooley and Abi Tooley (Michael); her daughter-in-law Heidi Weckler; her granddaughters, Hayleigh Vannieuwenhoven and Emma Weckler; and her brothers, Richard Wessel (Geri) and David Wessel. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to DCMC Skilled Nursing Center to help create a raised flower garden in Laurel's honor.
