With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William George Brey of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William left this world on October 20, 2025 at the age of 73, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Brey and Dorothy Brey (Dionne); his grandson Micah Morris Brey; his parents-in-law, Norman and Ethel Wautier; and his brothers-in-law, Terry Bero, Dennis Hafeman, Ronald Renard and John Wautier.
He is survived by: his wife Clarice (Wautier); his children, Christy Vogel (Nathan), Angie Ulness (Mark), Katie Huiser (Menno), Anthony (Moriah) and Jacob (Lauren); his grandchildren, Chloe, Emily, Caleb Vogel, Clarissa, Garrett, Whitney, Walker Ulness, Hugo, Oliver, Julia Huiser, Evan, Alexa Brey, Rosella, Willem and Giselle Brey; his sisters, Mary Jo Hafeman, Charlotte Bero and Barbara Borkovetz (Robert); and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Jauquet (Larry), Marilyn Renard, Theresa Gartman (Jim), Joseph Wautier (Beverly) and James Wautier (Penny). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Forbes Funeral Home (319 W Spruce St, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mary Catholic Church (7491 County Rd S, Algoma, WI 54235). A burial will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM.
