Winifred J. Recupero Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Winifred J. Recupero of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on February 12, 2024 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Winifred J. Recupero to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Zack and Florence Zack (Rader); her husband Anthony Samuel; her siblings, Barbara Stefanek and Tony Zack; and her son-in-law Steven Schmelzer.

She is survived by : her children, Rebecca Martin (Richard) of Oxford, CT, Gretchen Schmelzer of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Clay Recupero (Karen) of Sturgeon Bay, WI and Theodore Recupero (Susan) of Kanosh, UT; her grandchildren, Josiah Schmelzer, Joshua Recupero (Lisa), Noah Schmelzer, Luke Schmelzer (Lucy), Anthony Recupero (Megan) and Linnea Schmelzer; and her great grandchildren, Harriet Schmelzer, Leonardo, Olivia, Jack, William and Nathaniel Recupero. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Door County Aging and Disability Resource Center or Crossroads at Big Creek Nature Preserve.
