He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence Smith; his siblings, Jerry Smith and Alisa Stock; his nephew Derek Smith; and his father-in-law David Peterson.

He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Smith; his mother Beverly Smith; his brothers, George Smith and Tom Smith (Lori); his brother-in-law Mike Stock; his brothers, David Smith (Toni) and John Smith (Julie); his stepdaughters, Sarah Cook and Stephanie Rowland (Justin); and his mother-in-law Katie Peterson. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles, and many nieces, and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
