She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Brakebush and Ethel Brakebush (Johnson); her daughter Kristin Kovac; and the parents of child, Otto and Ethel Brakebush.

She is survived by: her husband David R. Fiess; her children, Jeffrey (Heather), Kevin (Amy) and Karina Mowbray (Scott); her grandchildren, Stephanie Stencil (Steven), Jennalee Collins (Matthew) and Joshua Fiess; her children, Seth, Jordyn Fiess, Kennedy and Kendall Mowbray; her great grandchildren, Shawn, Spencer and Sabrina Stencil; her grandchildren, Landon and Liliya Collins; and her brother Carl Brakebush (Judith). She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
