He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Downing and Emma Downing (Carmen); and his former wife Patricia King. He is survived by: his former wife Karen O'Connell; his children, Wendy Zeman (Greg) of Burlington, Robert (Tammy) of Madison and Jamie (Tina) of Cedar Falls, Iowa; his grandchildren, Eric Zeman (Courtney), Allison Zeman (Jacob Miller), Andrew Zeman (Leah), Colin Downing (Bailey) and Ava Downing; his great grandchild Brooks Downing; his stepchildren, Denise Webb (Steve), Derek Kramerson (Kristin), Dustin Kraemer, Shelby Brummett (Austin), Rylee (Blake), Sydney (Eric), Smith, Easton, Treyson, Brextin Kramerson, Owen, Mason, Kiana and Kraemer; his great grandchild Aspyn Brummett; his wife Trish; and his sisters, Helen Vosburg and Dorothy Downing. He is also survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
In his last years, he spent time driving for RSVP in Dane County.
