She was predeceased by: her parents, Bohumil Washa and Lulu Washa (McKibben); her former husband Richard Komatz, Sr.; her siblings, Arlene Dunbar, Bettyellen Washa, Arthur and Richard Washa; and her friend Beverly Shafer.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Nys (Gordian "Gordy") of Superior, Peggy Harmsen (William "Scott") of Oregon, Richard "Butch" Komatz, Jr. (Judy) of St. Cloud and Patricia (David); her siblings, Irene Peterson of Superior, Lorraine Washa of Foxboro and Robert Washa of Phillips; and her close friend Mary Lou Munson. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
