She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Allen Peterson; her parents, Nicholas Elmer Werner and Lorraine Ann Werner; and her brothers, Richard Werner (Eunice) and John Werner (Lorraine).

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Peterson (Alice), John Peterson (Katherine), Paula Peterson, Mary Tollers (David) and Mark Peterson. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
