He was predeceased by : his mother Virginia Gamst (Lambert); his siblings, John Gamst and Annie Duren; his sister-in-law Diane Gamst; his nephews, John Jr. and Michael Gamst; his great-niece Chloe Gamst; and his father George Donald.

He is survived by : his children, Jesse (Sarah), Tyler and Kalsey Gamst (Jack Sundvick); his grandchildren, Leon, Little Jack "Bubs", Olivia, Emma and Austin; his siblings, Donna Goff, Greg Gamst (Vicky), Teri Hedican (Jerry), Gil Gamst (Candice), Rene Gamst (Steve Richardson), Bernie Gamst (Deb), Celeste Thiemi (Charlie), Marge Stanley (Jim) and Roni O'Doherty (John); his brother-in-law Greg Duren; his girlfriend Dawn Goodell Mankoski; and his girlfriend's daughter Holly Mankoski. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Keyport Lounge (1900 Belknap St, Superior, WI 54880).
