She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Hulter and Polly Ann Hulter; her brothers, James and Gerald Hulter (Gerry); her sister-in-law Jean Hulter; her nephew Todd Nykanen; Hugh.

She is survived by: her husband Hugh; her brother Jack Hulter; her children, Scott McDonald, Christopher McDonald (Julia) and Amy Swendsrud (Tony); her grandchildren, Alexis Nienow (Nathan), Allison Hancharik (Zachary), Richard Minh Le, Laura and Scott McDonald Jr.; her great grandchildren, Jaxon, Brooks and Mila Nienow; her siblings-in-law, Donald Nykanen and Michelle Nykanen; her nephew Bradley Nykanen; and her nieces, Susan Howard (Mark) and Lynn Hulter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kathy's name to the National Audubon Society.
