She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon C. Backlund, and Lorraine M. Backlund, Jr. (Glonek); her sister Laura "Tootie" Lapenskie; and her pets, Ranger and Chantz.
She is survived by: her husband Beryl Bushaw of Superior, WI; her siblings, Rosie Kiiski (Tom) of Onalaska, WI and Donny Backlund (Debbie) of Superior, WI; her siblings-in-law, Raymond Bushaw of Superior, WI, Garry Lapenskie, London and Coralie Dalbec; her friend Lynn Thompson of Minong, WI; her close friend Tina; and her pet Shyla. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (2316 E 4th St, Superior, WI 54880). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
