He was predeceased by: his father Donald F. Stone; his stepfather Wesley Hackensmith, Sr.; and his stepsiblings, Donald, Max, Ron Hackensmith and Gail Tate.

He is survived by: his mother Leona Hackensmith (Williams); his siblings, Wayne Stone (Donna) and Rita Keefer (Franklin); his stepsiblings, Richard Hackensmith, Wesley Hackensmith, Jr. (Toni), John Hackensmith (Mary) and Vanessa Moore; and his siblings' children, Cassie Evans, Travis Stone and Joshua Keefer.
