Merlin Francis Herbert Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merlin Francis Herbert of Superior, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 10, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Merlin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Merlin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Herbert and Clara Herbert (Bonnin); his wife Jean Herbert (Levine); and his son Shawn Herbert. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Herbert (Angela) and Scott Herbert (Kris); his grandchildren, Lila Herbert, Clara Herbert and Jessie Rolandson; and his great grandchildren, Sebastian and Rainy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 24th 2026 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home (1209 E 5th St, Superior, WI 54880).
