He is survived by: his wife Wendy; his children, Lindsey Sekely (Clay) of Philadelphia, PA, Austin of Superior and Jessica of Toulouse, France; his sister Lisa Gotelaere (Jerry) of Eau Claire, WI; his nieces and nephews, Abigail Daley (Chris) of Appleton, WI and Allison Cox (Anna) of Eagan, MN; and his pet Gracie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mitch's name to the Douglas County Humane Society.
