With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Herbert G. Kalies of Suring, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 19, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Sr. Kalies and Mary Kalies; his wife Ruth VanWychen of Paul's Catholic Church; his brothers, Kenneth Kalies, Ronald Kalies and John Kalies; his nephew Jack Kalies; his siblings-in-law, Margaret "Mugs", Robert Duescher and Dwayne "Cowboy" VanWychen; and his son-in-law Mitch Grandaw.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Ustianowski (Jody) of Lublin and Tom Kalies of Green Bay; his grandchildren, Mitch Grandaw of Suring, Morgan Christensen (Cody) of Green Bay, Kane Kalies and Channing Kalies of Green Bay; his siblings-in-law, Ken and Mary VanWychen of Suring; his siblings, Joseph Kalies (Grace) of Forestville, Curt Kalies (Nancy) of Greenleaf and Karen Dille (Gary) of Mt Vernon, IL; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Kalies of De Pere and Mickey Kalies of Kaukauna. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
