He was predeceased by: his parents, Benard McCarthy and Helen McCarthy (Boerschinger) of Gillett; his wife Cheryl Duffeck of Lena; his brothers, Johnny and Michael; his uncles, Steve McCarthy and John McCarthy; and his brothers-in-law, Leo Sperberg, Bill Leisch and Tom Smola.
He is survived by: his sons, Bernie, Chris (Shauna) and Josh; his grandchildren, Devon, Elijah, Brooklynn, Colten, Jasmine and Ashton; and his siblings, Benard (Marcy), Joe (Wanda), Jane Sperberg, Mary Leisch, Joan Smola and Shirley Buhrandt (Ray). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
