Eugene W. Smith Obituary

Smith, Eugene W. "Gene" Age 73. Passed away on December 1, 2025 surrounded by his family, including his niece Brittany, in which this circle of life was celebrated and embraced because Eugene was present at her birth- so in turn, she was present at his hospice bedside and passing. Loving husband of Nanette (nee Bandurski). Cherished dad of Carla (Dominick) Perrero and Curt "Turkey" Smith. Proud grandpa of Jade Danielle, Rain Nanette Joanna, and Zara Skye Lani. Uncle of Heather Anderson, Shane Anderson, Brianna Mastrocola, Sarah Mastrocola, Derek Schowalter, Brittany Schowalter, Brandon Schowalter and Sarah Schowalter. Preceded in death by his parents Wallace and Mary Smith, and his twin baby sister, and brother Frederick Smith.

Further survived by his best friends Jim and Betty and the Hakala Clan; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday December 6, 2025 at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, W250 N6505 Hwy 164 in Sussex, from 11am until time of service at 1pm.
