She was predeceased by : her parents, Peter P. Mendalski and Mary Mendalski (Wasilewski); her husband Joe; and her siblings, Ted, Conrad, Thomas Mendalski, Rose Sturek, Frances Smoczyk and Martha DiGangi.

She is survived by : her former life partner Joseph Pletka; her children, Jo Ann Beaufeaux (Kevin) of Huntingdon, TN and Joseph Pletka Jr. (Grace LaFave) of Thorp; her grandchildren, Rebecca, Kate, Charles, Douglas and Clinton; and her great grandchildren, Kelsey and Emerick. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
