He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter W. Verkuilen and Ruby M. Verkuilen (Coates); his wife Diane E. Bowers; and his brothers, Richard, Roy and Robert "Veek" Verkuilen.
He is survived by: his children, Bill of Maple Grove, MN, Cyndy Miklasz (Matt) of Boyd, WI, Greg (Brenda) of Brainerd, MN, Cathy Hein (Todd) of Cadott, WI and Barbara Mederos (Douglas) of Hollywood, MD; his grandchildren, Emma, Connor, Adam (Bill), Angela, David, Ben, Emily (Cyndy), Barrett, Kimber (Greg), Ruby, Hudson, Henry (Cathy), Maggie, Cara, Jack and Sam (Barb); and his siblings, Patricia Nevala (Merlin) of Menomonie, WI, Sue Beaudette of Prior Lake, MN and John Verkuilen (Dawn) of Cameron, WI. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
