He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin R. Tillman and Goldie Tillman (Nowe); his siblings, Marilyn Lang (Carl), Raymond Tillman (Doris) and Duane Tillman (Joyce); and his brother-in-law David Hibbard.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Burke; his children, Kathy (Mark) of Land O'Lakes, WI, Sandy (Randy) of Three Lakes, Lynn (Joe) of Three Lakes and Charly (BJ) of Rapid City, SD; his grandchildren, Chad, Amanda, Christie and Monty; his great grandchildren, Isabell, Emmitt and Anna; and his siblings, Lois Hibbard, John Tillman (Carol) and Terry Tillman (Sherry).
