Jack Wright Obituary
Jack Wright was born on May 22, 1934, to John and Mae Wright of Tigerton WI. He graduated from Hartford High School, with the nick name "Smiling Jack". He received his undergraduate degree at the University of WI Oshkosh, Oshkosh, WI. Jack taught at Genesee Depot School District, Slinger Elementary, and Parklawn Elementary School in the Oconomowoc School District. He was an avid Golfer and thoroughly enjoyed many types of Artwork projects (Sketching, Watercolors, Poetry). Jack lived most of his life in Oconomowoc, moving to Kearney, Missouri in 2016 and then back to Holmen WI in 2024 to be closer to family. Surviving him are; daughters Barbara (Sergio) Loch of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Mary (Joe) Buelt of Holman, WI; grandchildren: Erich (Jenny) Loch, Monika (Michael) Nedved and Patrick Buelt. Great grandchildren to remember him are Catherine, Margaret, Andrew, James, Thomas, and John Paul Loch and Adam, Noah, and Luke Nedved, and nephews and many lifelong friends. Jack was proceeded in death by his parents, wife of 61 years Kathryn Wright, Brothers Tom and James Wright and Sister-in-law Phyllis Lipsky.
Jack died on June 14th, 2026, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's at Caretta Senior Care Center, Holmen WI. He is already missed by those who loved him.
Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 995 Silver Lake St, Oconomowoc. Burial to follow at St. Jerome Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Jack would direct memorial gifts to the American Heart Association, Alzheimer's Association, Children's Hospital Wauwatosa or Plant a Tree.
