With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gordon H. Koeninger of Tomah, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 30, 2025 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Koeninger and Augusta Koeninger (Buchholz); his wife Darlene Koeninger; his great grandchild Noah; and his siblings, Leonard Koeninger (Iona), George Koeninger (Mary) and Gloria Martin (Duane).
He is survived by: his children, Ann Wappler (Robert) of Tomah, Betty Prell (Marlin) of Kendall, Roger A. Schroeder, Jr. (Elaine) of Tomah and Ruth Krueger (James) of La Crosse; his grandchildren, Charles Prell (Lynz), Timothy Prell, Melissa Prell (Alex Shaffer), Reena Berndt (Brent), Caitlin Krueger-Conway (Sean), Benjamin Krueger and Cherryl Duncan (Jerry); and his great grandchildren, Everly, Finnegan, Priya, Jude and Ella. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church (525 Superior Ave, Tomah, WI 54660). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church (525 Superior Ave, Tomah, WI 54660).
