He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Burkhalter and Lucile Burkhalter (Albrecht); his siblings, LaVonne Gerke (Robert), Junior Burkhalter, LaDene Zabinski and Randy Burkhalter; his brother-in-law Jim Friske; his parents-in-law, Harold and Harriet Butterfuss (Burrows); Jennifer Burkhalter.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Ryan Burkhalter, Jason Burkhalter (Amanda) and Lisa Randall (Justin); his grandchildren, Kimberly Burkhalter, Kyle Burkhalter (Nicole), Aiden Burkhalter, Skyler Burkhalter, Wyatt Randall and Gabrielle Burkhalter; his great grandchildren, Lillian and Dawson Lockington; his sisters, Kathy Friske and Bonnie Kortbein (Stewart); and his sister-in-law Linda Burkhalter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to be made in LaMont's memory to Tomah Health Hospice Touch or Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter.
