She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Bender; her children-in-law, Peggy Bender (Walter) and Jim Peaslee (Sherieda); her granddaughter Lisa Peaslee; her great grandchildren, Lindsey Knickerbocker and Tre Ross; and her siblings-in-law, Max Muralt (Gleneda), Laverne Richardson (Glen) and Judy Richardson (Lawrence).
She is survived by: her children, Shanna, Sherieda, Walter Jr. and Sabrina; her siblings, Gleneda Muralt, Glen and Lawrence Richardson; and her siblings-in-law, Sharon Rae Richardson and Jim Matzek. She is also survived by her 4 children: 8 grandchildren: 15 great-grandchildren: one great-great grandchild.
Virginia was passionate about ensuring that people were fed – in her home, and in the world – so, in lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Tomah Neighbor to Neighbor Food Pantry; Peace Lutheran Church of Tomah's Kitchen Fund, Library Pantry, or General Fund; or, a charity of your choosing.
