He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Smith and Rosalie Smith (Steinbach); his brother Randy; his brother-in-law Ronnie Barr; and his nephew Joel Jones.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Linda Hammett of Illinois; his daughter Holly Long (Robert) of Oklahoma; his siblings, Dennis Smith (Kathie) of Tomahawk, Earl Smith (Gail) of Tomahawk, Jim Smith (Julie) of Tomahawk, Cindy Crowell (Leo), Kathy Kurth (Paul) and Roseann Barr of Tomahawk; and his grandchildren, Cheyenne and Jonathan.

In following with COVID social distancing guidelines, private services will be held.
