He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hildebrand and Muriel Hildebrand (L'Abbe); his sister Judy Leggett; and his siblings-in-law, Meyer and Gloria Hildebrand.

He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas Hildebrand and Roberta Meyer; and his brother-in-law Jack Leggett.

He was an avid music and Buddy Holly fan, attending the annual Buddy Holly Memorial Tribute in Clear Lake, IA.
