He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Smerz and Harriet Smerz (Orlick); and his brother William. He is survived by: his wife Donna Larson; and his children, Mark Smerz, Paul Smerz (Kelly), Shorewood, Andrew Smerz (Nicky), Geralyn Sweet (Gary), Mary Smerz and Patricia Hurst (Terry). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and countless other relatives and friends.
