He was predeceased by: his parents, John Swan and Jennie Swan (Schoone); his son Mike Swan; his son-in-law Garry Keip; and his siblings, Bernadine Swan, Anna Schulz, Casey Swan and Ted Swan.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Swan of Tomahawk; his children, Gary Swan (Carol) of Tomahawk, Jim Swan (Terry Higgins) of Tomahawk, Jean Keip-Wurster (Jim) of Tomahawk, Rob Swan (Lisa) of Gleason and Stacie Cotey (Steve) of Grafton; his daughter-in-law Nancy Swan of Tomahawk; his brother Edwin Swan (Kathy) of Waupun; and his sisters-in-law, Estelle Renn, Ceil Roberts, Connie Gavin and Rosie Swan. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made in Joe's name are appreciated to the Never Forgotten Honor Flight or St. Mary Catholic School.
