He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Jakel and Fran Jakel (Goldbach); his wife Alyce Brueckner of John's Catholic Church; his daughter Jill Jakel; and his grandson Jesse Jakel.
He is survived by: his sons, David Jakel (Audrey) of Columbus and Joseph Jakel (Kathryn) of Oconomowoc; his granddaughters, Holly Schuster (Andy), Brianna Jakel (Ryan) and Mary Firari (Travis); his great grandchildren, Lillian, Alana, Addie, Jayce, Roman and Dylan; and his brother Ron "Jake" Jakel (Joanne) of Beaver Dam. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Reeseville Community Center (406 N Main St, Reeseville, WI 53579). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to Holy Family Catholic Church.
