It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Sweek of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 17, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Milion Evers and Kathryn Evers (Messer); her son Tom; her grandson Brian Gehrke; and also David Whalen.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Whalen (Sue) of Brownfield, Toni Whalen of Lake Tomahawk, Micky Whalen (Jean) of Irma and Marion Kohl (Rick) of Tomahawk; her daughter-in-law Liz Whalen of Wausau; and her brother Jack Evers of Milwaukee. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
