He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick "Fritz" Kaphaem and Muriel Kaphaem (Bergeson); his brother-in-law Tim McCalla; and his nephew Chad McCalla. He is survived by: his wife Lynda Miller of Tomahawk; his daughters, Heather Holden (Matt) of Stevens Point and Crystal Kaphaem of Stevens Point; his siblings, Mike Kaphaem (Rhonda) of Tomahawk and Sheryl McCalla of Tomahawk; his siblings' child Chris Kaphaem (Jaymee); his great-niece Elena; his siblings' children, Lisa Stevens (Greg) and Kerry Scholz (Lenny); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Cayton, Cody and Carly.
