She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Lawler and Bernice Lawler (Gatz); her husband Robert B. Mitchell Jr.; her grandson Eric; her sister Janet Graham (Frank); and her brother-in-law Gary Hawkins.
She is survived by: her children, Marie Mitchell-Samuels and Robert C. Mitchell (Debi); her grandchildren, Gerald, Dominique, Alexis, Cassandra, Jake, Kris and Josh; and her siblings, Jon Lawler (Dawn), Bonnie Hawkins and Terry Lawler. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; several great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
