He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Plummer and Margaret "Peggy" Plummer (Marshall); his sister Judith; and his father-in-law Bruce. He is survived by: his wife Shelley Raeburn; his children, Dan Plummer of Detroit and Katie Nieuwenhuis (Ryan) of Milwaukee; his grandchildren, Paxton and Addison; and his brother Dave Plummer of Traverse City.
