He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Friday and Beatrice Olive Friday (Rhodes); his son-in-law Lonnie Matye; his grandson Chad Dibble; his brother Don Pauly; and his brother-in-law Robert Severson.

He is survived by: his children, Pamela Matye, Sue Friday-Thill (Brent) and John Friday; his grandchildren, Jackie Dibble (Mike Lucas), Kelly Kahl (Keith), Jennifer Phillipson (Steve) and Victoria Fischer (Jeremy); his great grandchildren, Carter, Elliot, Emmit, Parker, Cooper Jack, Isla, Trent, Peyton and Taylor; his sister Joan Friday Severson; and his brother-in-law Larry Henning. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
