She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Hughes and Zella Hughes (Burch); her husband Joseph Hellstern; her son Thomas Hellstern; and her grandchildren, Tony and Rhonda Hellstern.

She is survived by: her children, Cathy Hansen (Ray) of Turtle Lake, Susan Hellstern (Dan Hoffman) of Valdosta, GA, Joe Hellstern of Turtle Lake and Dale Hellstern (Carla) of Turtle Lake; her grandchildren, Zachary Hansen (Jaime Novak), Erica Hansen (Rich Luevano), Joe Hoffman, Rebecca Hoffman (Chris Moody), Lisa Halverson (Mike) and Rita Engelken (Todd); her great grandchildren, Olivia, Morgan Hansen, Axl, Londyn Hall and George Moody; and her sister Ruth Anne Witalis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
