He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Kahl Sr. and Nellie Kahl (Olson); his siblings, Bradley Kahl and Patricia Hancock; and his brothers-in-law, Donald Thuftin, Ronald King and Roger Hancock.
He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara King, Linda Thuftin, Bernard Kahl, Jr. (Nancy), Debra Hemauer (Bradley) and Jeffrey Kahl (Joan); and his sister-in-law Sandy Kahl. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
