He is survived by: his wife Julie Samson (Romp); his sons, Ryan Samson (Meghan) and Justin Samson (Kristin); his grandchildren, Nathan, Ian and Bonnie; his siblings, Donna Dean (Dan), Donovan "Sam" Samson, Karen Samson, Karin Romp and Kevin Romp; and his mother-in-law Dorothy Romp. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
